Atonement

1 John 2:2

Many great stories include the concept of atonement: to make amends for your sins or to right your wrongs. Boromir is a good example: from his point of view, his actions were reasonable for the most part, but in the end his perspective changed, and he understood he was not able to make amends.

Christians have come to understand that atonement is found outside of themselves. Jesus Christ is the atonement so that there is redemption for you and I.

What Jesus asks is: do you believe me?
