Betrayal

The LotR trilogy as envisioned by Peter Jackson starts with explaining some of the history of the rings of power, and the one ring to rule them all. It narrates how the ring was taken by Isildur, and as a matter of speech, how it betrayed Isildur to his death.

Betrayal, when trust is broken through intentional actions, is what Jesus experienced when Peter denied he knew Jesus three times. Jesus showed us how to deal with betrayal by forgiving Peter for this.
