Mannah
“Let’s see what food we have left. Lembas, some more lembas, and oh! Lembas!” Sam isn’t too happy about the quality or abundance of food, but the lembas that Galadriel provided, will be part of their diet until their journey’s end.
In a similar way, the novelty of mannah, the food provided for the people of Israel while they travelled through the desert towards their promised land, wore eventually off, and people started complaining about its blandness. Psalm 103:2 tells us to remember all God’s blessings. This helps us not losing sight of how wonderful and undeserved those blessings are, even if they seem the same as yesterday.
Is there anything particular that you are reminded of?
