Creation
The “Ainulindalë” is the creation account in Tolkien’s legendarium, and the background for amongst others The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. Tolkien wrote it in 1919/1920 and made many changes over time. It was first published after his death.
It is easy to see parallels between the Ainulindalë and the creation story in the Bible. Many consider Genesis 1 to be poetic, and many consider it to be factual. Regardless: it is the background for the story that God writes. It is a story where He becomes actively involved in it Himself. John 1:12-13 talks about the given right to become children of God.
What kind of story would you like your Father in heaven to write in and with your life?
