Equally yoked

Boromir had his own reasons for joining the Fellowship of the Ring. Of all the motivations of all the members, Boromir was the one who specifically wanted the ring in order to use it, and ultimately he did not survive.
In 2 Cor. 6, the Bible strongly warns against being equally yoked, and Paul compares it with light vs. darkness. As a believer, the way you view and understand the world is different from non-believers. Consequently, this shapes what you consider to be true and good, and it affects what you believe is the right thing to do. Knowing this helps you pray for those you have a relationship with.
