Before Gandalf and Pippin meet with Denethor, Gandalf warns Pippin: “Few can deceive him, and it is dangerous to try.” When Gandalf and Pippin enter the Hall of the Kings, it is clear Denethor is steward and not king as the throne of the king is empty: the king is not there.

We, too, have our responsibility while our King, Jesus, is set to return. We are called to be good stewards of what has been given us.
