Fear

1 John 4:4

At the Prancing Pony in Bree, Aragorn tells Frodo he’s not nearly frightened enough of what hunts him. The Nazgûl were once great kings, but their greed caused them to accept the rings of power without question, ending up as slaves to Sauron’s will.

We usually do not think much over the extend of evil, but 2 Thessalonians 2 talks about lawlessness being held back. What we currently are experiencing isn’t the full extent of sin. However, 1 John 4:4 tells us that the One in us, is greater than the one who is in the world. We do not need to be frightened, we do not need to fear.
