Temptation

When Frodo finds out what the one ring represents, he offers it to Gandal, who exclaims “You cannot offer me this ring!” When Frodo insists, Gandal responds: “Don’t tempt me Frodo! I dare not take it”, and goes on to explain why he cannot take the ring. Gandals wisdom helps him make the proper decision.

When Jesus teaches us how to pray, he includes “Lead us not into temptation”. We better accept Jesus’ wisdom in this as well and pray accordingly. It is best to decide how to deal with tempation before being tempted.
